This month’s Big Idea is “Take The Risk”

Risk is often thought of as something you don’t want in your life. It’s that “thing” that you’ve been warned to ignore and fear. Is that true? In business, it can NEVER be true. When it comes to business risk is something that is ever present in our lives but it doesn’t have to be a negative presence.

Risk can come into play when you’re branching out into a new area. Moving into new areas is something you should do with care and planning. Yes, risk is involved, since your idea might not be profitable, but you need to try. Trying is the key to success. You can’t know for sure if an idea will work, but if you never try you’ll never know what could have happened.

One more important part of risk is knowing when to stop. If you have tried an idea and you’re continually losing money or you find that an idea isn’t fitting into your business in a good way, be sure you can be honest with yourself and figure out when it’s time to close shop (on that particular part of the business and move on to better things.
